Tracy has worked for Portal since 1996 and is a major contributor to the company’s growth. Starting her role as a part time appointment setter she has progressed to managing the sales team. In addition, Tracy directly supports new clients and existing customers.
During this period the company’s product sets have diversified significantly allowing Portal to provide a converged solution including telephony, data connections, MPLS, lines, calls and mobile.
As Sales Manager Tracy is responsible for developing a consistent sales strategy. Portal’s primary sales goal is to secure happy customers and long term relationships. This sounds implausibly altruistic but as the cost of sale is high, selling appropriately makes sense for the customers, as well as Portal. For that reason the sales teams are trained to focus on providing an ethical and consultative sales experience. As part of that process importance is placed on understanding the commercial objectives and challenges of customers, as well as the individual user requirements. By approaching the sales process holistically, Portal can truly add value and ensure partnerships based on a foundation of trust.
