The company was founded in 1999 by the current Managing Director, John Corney.   In the early years, the Portal team concentrated on gaining market share at a regional level and building a reputation for excellent customer service.  Within a relatively short time, the company had surpassed its goals and met its objectives across all targeted organisational and company sectors.  This includes significant penetration of vertical markets including healthcare, education, legal, manufacturing and professional services who all demand outstanding levels of customer service.   Now Portal has grown in size and supplies and supports numerous organisations in a wide range industry sectors across the entire United Kingdom.

Portal has been awarded partnership status with several suppliers including NEC, Panasonic, Avaya, Openreach, BT Wholesale, Virgin, Gamma, O2, Vodafone, Cisco and Dell which is testament to our technical expertise and high levels of customer satisfaction.  This is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and commitment of the Portal team.  

Portal invests regularly in the testing and evaluation of all core products introduced to our customers.  This includes a significant investment in lab facilities for ongoing support.   Many clients are using a third generation of products from Portal.
